Brazilian Football Icon Roberto Carlos Purchases Two Residences at Viceroy Fort Lauderdale

Brazilian football legend Roberto Carlos has acquired two residences at Viceroy Residences Fort Lauderdale, reinforcing the city’s growing appeal among high-profile international buyers. The purchase adds another notable name to Flagler Village, where luxury residential development continues to accelerate as Fort Lauderdale attracts buyers seeking a lifestyle alternative to neighboring Miami.  

Developed by Naftali Group, the 45-story tower will feature 251 residences ranging from one- to four-bedroom floor plans. Designed by Arquitectonica with interiors by Rockwell Group, the project emphasizes hospitality-inspired living through more than 30,000 square feet of amenities, including a full-service spa, resort-style pools, wellness facilities, private lounges, a wine and sound bar, karaoke and virtual reality rooms, along with exclusive beach club access. Residents will also have access to a 15,000-square-foot restaurant and private members club operated by The h.wood Group.  

The development recently introduced its penthouse collection, with residences collectively valued at approximately $20 million and featuring private rooftop spas unique to the Flagler Village market. Carlos’ acquisition reflects a broader trend of internationally recognized athletes and entrepreneurs investing in South Florida as the region prepares to welcome increased global attention surrounding the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
