Cora Merrick Park Secures $67.5 Million Construction Loan as Coral Gables Project Moves Forward

Yoann Dorat July 14, 2026 1 min read

Located at 4241 Aurora Street, directly across from the Shops at Merrick Park, the 13-story development will feature 74 residences ranging from one-bedroom homes to expansive three-bedroom-plus-den penthouses. Prices begin in the $900,000s and exceed $4 million for the building’s premier residences. Designed by Arquitectonica with interiors by Urban Robot, the project is expected to be completed in 2028, with Douglas Elliman Development Marketing leading sales.

Cora Merrick Park has been designed around a wellness-first philosophy and is among the first residential developments in Miami pursuing certification through the International WELL Building Institute’s residential program. Amenities will include a rooftop pool, fitness and recovery center, infrared sauna, steam room, hot and cold plunge pools, yoga and meditation spaces, and Coral Gables’ first rooftop padel court. The development will also contribute a 5,000-square-foot public park featuring a sculpture by internationally acclaimed artist Jaume Plensa.

The financing reflects continued confidence in Coral Gables’ luxury residential market, where limited land availability and strict development regulations have created a shortage of newly built condominiums. As developers increasingly focus on boutique, lifestyle-oriented communities, projects combining wellness, walkability, and premium design continue to attract both buyers and institutional lenders despite broader market headwinds.
