Related Group and Alta Developers have delivered Casa Bella Residences by B&B Italia, handing over the first homes at the 650-foot tower on Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami's arts and entertainment district.
The 56-story building at 1400 Biscayne Boulevard holds 319 residences, including 10 penthouses. The developers say more than 90 percent of the units are under contract and buyer closings have begun. It is the first residential tower the Italian furniture house B&B Italia has put its name on, after earlier collaborations with brands such as Bulgari, Rolex, Gucci, and Rolls-Royce.
"With our first residents now home, that vision has become reality," said Nick Pérez, president of Related Group's condominium division.
Arquitectonica designed the tower. Piero Lissoni, B&B Italia's longtime creative lead, curated the interiors through his firm Lissoni New York, from the lobby through the shared spaces, which are furnished with B&B Italia pieces. Enzo Enea designed the landscape. Units come with ITALKRAFT cabinetry, Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, and counters and fixtures selected by Lissoni. Every home has two private elevators, a private vestibule with biometric entry, high ceilings, and pass-through floor plans with water and skyline views.
Most of the unsold inventory sits at the top of the building. The Cielo Collection spans floors 48 through 51 with 16 residences. Above it, the Penthouse Collection has 10 homes across seven layouts with 12-foot ceilings, delivered fully furnished by B&B Italia with custom kitchens and closets built by the brand's own team. Corner penthouses add private rooftop terraces with spa pools and outdoor summer kitchens. Earlier in the sales cycle, a 5,893-square-foot triplex penthouse on the 54th floor went under contract for $12.6 million, or about $2,138 per square foot, a downtown arts district record at the time.
Amenities fill two full floors. The 360 Wellness Center includes a bay-facing fitness room, yoga studios, a spa, and a beauty salon, alongside a private theater, wine cellar, game room, children's playroom, and coworking lounge. The outdoor deck has an 80-foot lap pool with cabanas, a pool bar and café, a yoga lawn, a pickleball court, and grilling and dining areas. On the 56th floor, a Sky Pool Terrace adds a second pool, a rooftop lounge, and a private observatory.
The tower broke ground in November 2023, with Coastal Construction as general contractor and Cain International providing the construction loan. It opens into a downtown that has added residents quickly. The Miami Downtown Development Authority counts more than 101,000 people living in the area, up nearly 68 percent since 2012, and the building is a short walk from the Pérez Art Museum Miami, the Frost Museum of Science, Kaseya Center, and the Adrienne Arsht Center.
