Related and Tate Unveil Private Bahia Mar Club for St. Regis Residences Buyers in Fort Lauderdale

The Related Group, Tate Capital and Rok Acquisitions are setting aside a slice of their 40-acre Bahia Mar site in Fort Lauderdale for condo owners only.

The partners revealed plans for The Bahia Mar Club, a private outdoor wellness and recreation compound reserved for buyers at The St. Regis Residences, Bahia Mar. Residents will be able to use it around the clock, and it will not be open to hotel guests or the pust blic.

Landscape architecture firm EDSA designed the club, which centers on a racquet program with a tennis court, a padel court and a covered gallery along the courts for spectators. A clubhouse operated by St. Regis staff sits next to a lap pool ringed with daybeds and loungers. The plan also includes a large lawn called The Green for yoga, tai chi and group gatherings, an outdoor summer kitchen and patio for entertaining, a quiet garden, a children's playground and a sunset terrace with fire pits overlooking the water.

The developers are pitching the club as a wellness play built around the site's marina and open waterfront. "Very few coastal developments in the world offer homeowners exclusive access to this much private waterfront land," said Nick Pérez, president of condominium development at Related.

Tate Capital CEO Jimmy Tate said the club pushes the project's goal of letting residents spend a full day at Bahia Mar, from a morning workout to time on the water to dinner, without leaving the property. His family and partner Sergio Rok have controlled the land for close to 15 years.

The outdoor club sits on top of roughly 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities inside the residential building, including a full-service spa, a fitness center, a private dining room, a billiards lounge and a kids' room.

The broader $2 billion project calls for a 78-unit St. Regis residential tower plus a 122-key St. Regis hotel with 106 resort residences. The site also includes a 250-slip deepwater marina that can handle yachts up to 350 feet, the existing Marina Village, a full-service beach club, and restaurant and retail space.

Arquitectonica is the architect and London-based Tara Bernerd & Partners is handling interiors.

Private residences start at $4.9 million and resort residences start at $3 million. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is running sales. Construction is slated to start in 2027, with delivery targeted for 2030.

The launch lands as Fort Lauderdale continues to court wealthy buyers and finance firms relocating to South Florida, a shift backed by public projects such as the $1.1 billion expansion of the Broward County Convention Center.
