Living in West Palm Beach

West Palm Beach is the county seat of Palm Beach County. It sits on the mainland shore of the Lake Worth Lagoon, across from the town of Palm Beach. Flagler Drive follows the waterfront for the length of the city.

Most new condo towers sit on it or a block behind it, north and south of downtown. Downtown runs from Clematis Street to Okeechobee Boulevard, with The Square, formerly CityPlace, and the Kravis Center at its southern end. The Brightline station downtown connects to Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Orlando.

Palm Beach International Airport sits west of downtown. North of downtown, the waterfront passes Old Northwood and other historic neighborhoods.

South Flagler Drive runs past the El Cid and Flamingo Park historic districts and near the Norton Museum of Art. The current pipeline adds residential towers on North and South Flagler Drive, many of them carrying hotel brands.
